Stop Guessing, Start Optimizing

Achieve Peak Efficiency with Chemtex

Isolating the actions that truly matter and measuring the impact of your efforts can be daunting. Chemtex eliminates the guesswork.

Water Performance is Influenced by Many Factors

Effective water treatment hinges on managing water quality, controlling hardness and pH, preventing corrosion and biological growth, managing dissolved solids, matching flow rate to system capacity, and optimizing operational efficiency

Chemtex GPS eliminates the guesswork.

Our Services

Boiler GPS

Boiler efficiency depends on a wide range of factors. With so many inputs, it can be challenging to isolate the factors that matter and to evaluate whether efforts and investments are paying off. Chemtex developed its Boiler GPS program to help isolate those factors and do the math for you, so you can fine-tune your strategies for energy efficiency, chemical applications and evaluate investment strategies for cost reduction. This innovative program tracks the energy flow in and out of the boiler room and analyzes data, accurately tracks the mass, volumetric, energy, and cost flow of the following: • Makeup water • Feedwater • Blowdown losses • Fuel usage • Stack losses • Total steam production • Steam available for use • Steam to the deaerator • Condensate return • Blowdown heat recovery • Flash steam recovery Questions about the Chemtex GPS Program and how it can help you? Your Chemtex Representative can explain the ways GPS can help you run a more efficient system.

Our job is to protect your assets while making it as simple for you as possible. As our valued customer, we continually examine our strategies, projects, and plans by conducting regular service visits and conducting routine conversations with you. We monitor progress and provide on-site analysis to assure that we are optimizing the performance of your system. Our commitment goes beyond selling chemicals, we strive to find solutions to meet your needs. Our company culture is built around delivering the very best customer service possible.

Lab Support

Analytical testing is an important element to the success of your water treatment program. At Chemtex, we offer many value-added services to customers by providing analysis and recommendations specific to your water-using processes. In our on-site laboratory, highly-skilled chemists ensure that accurate results are reported in a timely manner, resulting in excellent consultative analysis of water-based situations. Our ability to formulate custom blends specific to your industry need ultimately improves over-all performance and mitigates risk.

Predictive Analysis

Predictive water modeling for once through and open recirculating cooling systems. The increasing demand to maximize cycles, produce water and energy savings, and increase heat transfer efficiencies requires water analysis capabilities that were available once only on main frame computers. International Chemtex now utilizes very sophisticated water modeling techniques to analyze system water, determine specific operating characteristics, and develop and adapt product formulation to meet those very specific requirements. This enables our sales engineers to maximize system operating criteria and maintain optimum efficiency while minimizing scaling and corrosion tendencies. Customers utilizing products designed in this manner can be assured of maximum cooling performance. This equates to operating savings and minimal downtime. Contact your Chemtex Representative for more information regarding Predict and water modeling for your system.

Regulatory Management

Regulatory compliance in our industry is ever increasing and may provide a challenge to find suitable water treatment products for your water using applications. Chemtex provides treatment programs that comply with a variety of regulatory concerns, including but not limited to: • FDA / USDA • EPA • NPDES • FMSA • ASHRAE • NSF • Kosher • Organic We work together with certifying agencies, state and local authorities and other involved parties to ensure that the selected Chemtex products are within compliance while also meeting the needs of the overall water treatment program.

Remote Monitoring & Automation

IC Connect is a powerful tool to help optimize the performance of your water treatment program. This program includes a network of your controller data, Chemtex Reports and the expertise of your Chemtex representative working together to maintain 24/7 oversight of your water system. Instant and continuous data tracking via cellular technology – seamlessly transmitted to any smart device—offers a real-time representation into the performance of your system. Settings can be changed remotely, and alarms will alert staff when there’s a problem so they can react quickly, preventing the costly consequences of a failure. Chemtex Reports allows easy access to operator logs, service reports, lab analyses and images, SDS and inventory records. Everything an operator needs to successfully manage a water treatment program is easily accessed in one location. Manage your water treatment program with confidence while saving time and money.

Secondary Disinfection

Secondary disinfection is becoming a crucial part of the potable water treatment process. It is often a necessary step to help mitigate potentially harmful microbial growth and waterborne pathogens, such as Legionella. Chemtex’s secondary disinfection program uses the most innovative treatment strategies to maintain the quality of your domestic or potable water systems. Your Chemtex representative will make sure you understand the options that are available and design a secondary disinfection program to fit your system and your budget. There are three main chemical options: chlorine, chlorine dioxide, and monochloramines. All three are acceptable solutions to the problem of Legionella and other water-borne organisms. All of these options require automation and monitoring to safely and effectively administer the disinfection chemicals. Because there are many automated feeds systems to choose from, your Chemtex water treatment expert will research the best and most cost-effective application and to fit your facilities’ needs.

Water Management Plans

IC Connect is a proactive service of mitigation, solutions, and expertise. Chemtex has always focused on engineering water management programs to ensure the wide variety of customer needs are fully addressed.

1. System Integrity Risks

Water Quality (Contaminant Levels):  Impurities like suspended solids, organic matter, or dissolved salts must be monitored in all systems.

2. System Integrity Risks

Hardness (Calcium and Magnesium): Regular inspections avoid hard water which leads to scaling, reducing efficiency, and damaging equipment.

3. System Integrity Risks

pH Control: pH influences corrosion, scaling, and treatment effectiveness and can encourage microbes.

4. System Integrity Risks

Corrosion Control: Protects metal surfaces in contact with water and increases longevity of equipment.

5. System Integrity Risks

Biological Control (Microbial Growth): Bacteria, algae, or biofilms impair performance and safety. Legionella or algae pose health and efficiency risks.

6. System Integrity Risks

Dissolved Solids (TDS): High total dissolved solids (TDS) affect conductivity, scaling, and system behavior limiting reuse or discharge options.

7. System Integrity Risks

Flow Rate and System Capacity: Water treatment must match system demand, circulation needs, and variable inflows for function and precise delivery.

8. System Integrity Risks

Operational Efficiency (Energy and Maintenance): Treatment impacts cost, downtime, and sustainability. Clogs or failures raise maintenance needs.

9. System Integrity Risks

Contaminants, microbes, and flow impact equipment reliability: While wastewater emphasizes environmental outcomes and industrial systems (boiler, cooling, closed, feed) prioritize equipment protection, these eight factors affect all variations of water systems.
